Special Events

If you would like your event link to appear in BOLD print, as well as a link to a separate page on our site where the details of your event will appear, please submit a news release as described HERE, up to 2 months prior to the event. Your news release may include a link to your web site or other relevant site(s).

Remember to include the following:

• Name of event
• Name of host organization
• Date of event
• Place of event, with complete address
• Time of event
• Description of the purpose and features of the event (1-3 paragraphs)
• Contact source for more information (phone number, e-mail address, and/or web site)

Alternatively, if you have a press release that is already posted somewhere on the internet, send us the exact web address and instruct us to copy the press release directly from that site. 

NEW - your announcement or news release may be submitted as an HTML page if contained within a table not to exceed 700 pixels in width. Include the entire HTML page within your e-mail message.  PLEASE DO NOT SEND MS WORD DOCUMENTS!

WE PREFER THAT YOU PASTE YOUR ANNOUNCEMENT INTO THE BODY OF YOUR E-MAIL MESSAGE. Unless we have already established a relationship with you, we cannot guarantee that we will open any documents sent as attachments.

A link to your announcement will be placed on appropriate pages within Guide2Detroit.com and/or buildingphotos.com. We will also consider your suggestions for specific pages where you believe a link to your announcement would be relevant.
